Derpy Hooves, in addition to being Ponyville's greatest mailmare, also ran a daycare service in Ponyville. Here, she looked after foals big and small alike, helping them with whatever problems they might have, and keeping an occasional eye on them.
Compared to most daycares, Derpy was willing to let the foals under her care fool around and explore a little, since she knew that growing up meant making mistakes and learning from them.
This is a collection of stories about a few of the foals under her care.

Derpy was currently tending to Skye, the foal had hit his head on the toilet and suffering from amensia.

Derpy shook her head "You've got it all wrong, this is really bad, Skye, you need to go the hospital, now! Joseph, keep an eye on him, I need to call for an ambulence!"
"Okay, Miss. Derpy," Joseph promised "I'll make sure Skye doesn't get hurt anymore than he already has."

Derpy soon got Skye to a hospital, where he was immediately rushed to the foal ward to be examined.
Derpy contacted Skye's parents to let them know what had happened, then returned to the daycare to keep an eye on the rest of the foals. She made sure to put Joseph into a clean new pull-up, after wiping him down thoroughly.
"I hope Skye is alright," Joseph thought to himself, as he and Stickz went home for the day "He's one of the only friends I have in this daycare. I woould hate for him not to be able to remember anything."

After a time Skye got better within the hospital, his parents as a means of celebrations granted him to wear his favourite diaper.Skye and Joseph's parents are discussing another daycare.

"Oh dear, I hope they don't think you aren't safe at her daycare of because one accident," Joseph said with concern "It was my fault what happened, not Miss. Derpy's."

"My mommy and daddy tell me that some doctors are a different kind of doctor," Joseph told Skye "These kind of doctors don't heal boo boos, they do other things, sciency things. Actually, I seem to recall meeting a foal who claimed to be related to that doctor pony you mentioned. It seemed to involve time travel, and these scary metal robot things with lasers. I thought it was all a dream, but it seemed so real."
