"Maybe, but what if they're not there?" Joseph asked. Then, an unfamiliar sound reached his ears. "Uh, Skye. You can hear that, right?"

"I think it's-" Joseph began, but was suddenly cut off as a series of what looked like high tech guns were pointed at him, Skye, and Stickz.

"Identify yourselves, now!" a voice shouted. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?! Only enemies of the resistance walk these streets!"

(Yes. And did you see my comment about the "Choose Your Own Adventure Collab"?)

"And this is our pet, the mighty Silverbolt," Joseph added. "What do you mean by 'Enemies of the Resistance'? We belong to no one."

"We will see if you're lying," one of the ponies said ominously, and turned to the others. "Take them in for questioning, but make sure they don't get the chance to see our secret base. If they're lying, we can't risk having the resistance learn of our location."

"I don't know what's going on, Thunderball," Big Boss snapped angrily. "There's something very strange about these two, they look almost like we did as foals, but there's no way that could be possible."

"Do you suppose they might be changelings?" one of the guards asked, as he kept an eye on the still sleeping Joseph, Skye, and Stickz. "They've been out for quite a while, far longer than most ponies hit by the sleeping darts."

"Whoever they are, they can't stay here! We're not running a foalsitting service, and war is no place for children!" Big Boss lectured. "When they come to, we'll make them talk! Once we find out who they are and where they came from, we're sending them and their 'pet' home!"

"What are you talking about?!" Big Boss demanded. "If you're suggesting time travel, I suggest you get a reality check! The only stallion ever capable of doing that was Starswirl the Bearded, and he vanished without a trace over 1,000 years ago!"

"It's possible, but there's only one way to know for sure," Big Boss said. "They should wake up at any moment, then we'll find out if they're telling the truth or not."

"Good, because I think they're waking up." Big Boss said, and he was right.

"Oh man, I had the weirdest dream," Joseph said, yawning slightly. Then he opened his eyes and looked around. "Or maybe it wasn't a dream? Hey, where are Skye and Stickz?! What did you do to them?!"

"Relax, kid, we didn't hurt them," Big Boss insisted. "They're still sleeping, but they should be waking up any moment now. We just need to ask you a few questions."
